// WHAT .. EXACTLY IS THE RENDERTAXI?
At first, the name “rendertaxi” stood for the dream to convert a Volkswagen bus into a mobile office and to create high quality computer-generated image art fast and directly at the doorstep of our clients.
But instead of travelling Europe this way, we currently prefer immovable offices for various reasons, at least for now…
A remainder of the idea is our standard of a direct, fast and continuous exchange with clients during the course of a project. In the process we rely on web solutions like email, FTP and project portals.
Apart from the new and electronic communication options, we still seek face-to-face meetings, especially during preliminary discussions.
As of today, rendertaxi is an internationally operating studio for visualisation with a focus on architecture.
The rendertaxi team comprises highly motivated experts with different backgrounds from throughout Europe: architects, multimedia designers, photographers, graphic artists and image editors.
We work closely at the same table and bring your visions to life.
Our products are primarily used for visual conveyance and examination of design concepts, in competition bids as well as in the marketing and advertising sector.
The successful collaboration and communication with our clients is based on architectural understanding and the associated proficiency to be able to quickly read and optimally stage your design concepts.
Various image styles can emerge in the process: from an abstract and concept-oriented illustration through to a perfect simulation of space and light in a photorealistic image.
Our goal at all times is to carve out and portray the nature, aesthetics and functionality of an object, the best way possible.

Our offices in the town centre of Aachen are in close vicinity of the university’s architecture faculty.
Equipped with modern hardware and the latest software, we are capable to finish even highly complex and time-critical projects in due time.
Software used in the process basically consists of McNeel Rhinoceros, Maxon Cinema 4D, VRay for C4D or Next Limit Maxwell Render. For postproduction we rely on Adobe Photoshop, After Effects or Premiere Pro among others.
Our in-house rendering farm carries the load during the computation of animation and still images.
For years, we have successfully employed Linux as operating system for our server applications.
We guarantee discrete handling of sensitive client data and utilise redundant storage with a proven backup system.
By the way: we rely completely on green electricity - all our images contribute to climate protection.

We draw, model, texturise, photograph, animate, discuss, illuminate, code, design and invent the whole day.
At the same time we always challenge ourselves, to permanently better what we do. We create things which bring us joy and which we love.
